Recently I left NY to go back home to Michigan. At first I was so excited to be there, but it just no longer felt like home anymore. About a week ago I came back and more determined than ever! I landed an audition for Porgy and Bess on July 12th 2012! But my confidence had been weighing low about it. so last night I had the chance to go to a Broadway show (The Columnist) and i was totally inspired and uplifted! afterward I happened to be standing in the right place and had the opportunity to my John Lithgow and Talk to Grace Gummer! When I tell you Meryl Streep's genes are strong! Grace is mer mother's child in every way! Sweet, caring and a very good listener! Once we realized how time had got away I had to get home we said I goodbyes and assured each other we would visit again. As I walked through Broadway my luck sprang again and I ran into Audra McDonald (Bess) and Norm Lewis (Porgy). I was fortunate to speak with them and get some good auditioning advice from them and great conversation and a good luck to seal the deal! Someone in that big sky is looking out for me and I so appreciate it! Thank Grandma! <3
