Perseverance is KEY!

Hi Guys! For the past few months I have been trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. You ever feel like you're good at a lot of things, but there isn't one you are just great at? Well that's the problem I ran into. That problem then led to panic! Shall I never be destined to go great things because I'm not great at anything? I discovered great things come from perfecting good things! So I decided I want to do film. Of course it is incredibly hard to get cast in a Hollywood movie, that's why you have to start at the bottom and work your way up! There are so many different people needed on a set. I was amazed and overwhelmed with the amount of people that are on a set at a time. Where do I fit in? What can I do to be a part of something so phenomenal? Costuming!!! That's it! I knew that was something I am very good at! Not great but full of potential! So I found a Costume Designer that I knew did wonderful work. It couldn't be just anyone. I wanted to work with someone who I could really learn from, who I could really relate to. I found the perfect match! This woman is phenomenal! She was just who I needed. So I reached out to her about interning, so that I could learn more about the industry and what it is like to work on film. I had only ever done costuming for theatre so it would be a whole new world! Guess what?? She got back to me and took me up on my offer! Imagine that! People tell me all the time I am so lucky! Well you could be lucky too! Nothing is handed to you. There isn't a person standing on the street asking who wants to do what job. I'm not saying its easy because it is not, but as long as you have drive and persistence , you can't fail. Don't let anyone tell you something is IMPOSSIBLE! That word is not in my vocabulary. Make sure you delete it from your as well.
